  1.    To use armor you must wear it - type ^UW^U (upper case).  To remove 
  2.    armor you must take it off - type ^UT^U (upper case).  Each different 
  3.    type of armor has a different level of effectiveness.  Plate armor is 
  4.    the best (7 points protection), and an elven cloak the worst (1 point).  
  5.    Gloves, shields, and helmets are also considered armor and can be worn 
  6.    with other armor to give extra protection.  All armor comes with a 
  7.    rating (such as +0, -2, +2, etc.).  This rating will add or subtract 
  8.    from the armors effectiveness.

  10.    When you put on the armor observe what happens to the AC portion of your 
  11.    status line, then call for an inventory and see what rating that armor 
  12.    has.  Warning - some armor may be 'cursed' and you will not be able to 
  13.    take it off (unless you find the proper scroll).
